The Mile Away
Welcome to The Mile Away, a family-owned bar and grill located in Council Bluffs, Iowa! We acquired The Mile Away in April of 2022 and are proud to have a staff made up of close family and friends. Our goal is to provide a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for our customers, and ensure that everyone feels at home when they walk through our doors.
Here at The Mile Away, we take pride in our amazing food! Our menu is filled with juicy burgers, delicious phillys, tasty sandwiches, fresh salads, and weekly food specials that are sure to satisfy. Try one of our drink specials handcrafted by our awesome bartenders, or take advantage of our low-priced beer and wells. Whether you're looking to enjoy a delicious meal, or just relax with a drink, we have something for everyone.
Looking for an event space? Our large hall is perfect for any occasion with seating for up to 125 guests. This space is great for wedding receptions, baby showers, birthdays, graduations, retirements, and fundraisers, and comes with its own fully-stocked bar and bartender to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all guests. Whether you choose to use a caterer of your choosing, or bring in your own food- we have you covered with our kitchen facilities, which include a fridge, stove and sink.
Feeling a little bored? In the spring and summer, we host recreational and competitive volleyball leagues, with a court-side bar to keep you hydrated and well-fed. And for even more fun, we offer a variety of live music, bingo nights, karaoke and other events throughout the month!
